best of its capacity with container gardening. This info session contains tips and tricks for plant selection, watering, trimming and pot placement.

Organic Gardening Series

This two session series takes any level gardener systematically through the gardening process. A
Practical approach to organic vegetable gardening!

Session One

Discusses design information and gives practical guidance for companion plantings, bed styles, homemade rain barrels and compost bin creation.

Session Two

is the installation phase and includes topics on organic soil preparation and insect deterrents, seeding, and harvesting hints.

The series is conducted over two Saturdays, one for each session. Please reserve your spot!

Xeric Landscaping

Learn to use hardy and native plants to create a life-supporting environmentally friendly landscape.
This three session series focuses on transforming your yard from a sterile environment to a rich oasis
that shares space with wildlife.

Session One

Changing ideals and learning about important Florida fauna, including how to plant native to our region, imitate nature and how to minimize water, fertilizer and pesticide use

Session Two

Identifies current plants found in your garden to help adapt to native selections. Please bring a picture and leaves from your current yard to help identify, then we can supply information about native plants

Session Three

Is all about redesigning your problem areas. Again, please bring a picture. We will also
discuss educated plant choices to avoid frustrating gardening.

This series is conducted over three Saturdays, one
